how to replace starter on 2000 mercury grand marquis
Simply disconnect the battery, climb under the car with a few sockets and a ratchet, ( I believe it is 9/16) and locate the starter one the bell housing of the transmission. Remove the 2 bolts securing the Starter and wiggle it out. Disconnect the power cables that are attached to the starter and solenoid. Installation is the reverse of the procedure just explained.
Disconnect your battery, then remove the two nuts from the starter wire harness. Pull the wire and cable of the studs. Remove starter bolts and slide starter out of bellhosing. good luck
It is on the starter.
