If the Father has brown hair and eyes and the mother has blonde hair and blue eyes what color will the daughter's eyes and hair be?
Most likely the child's hair will be brown and his/her eyes will be brown also. This is because brown hair and eyes is the dominant trait of the two. The recessive trait, unfortunatly, is blonde hair and blue eyes. The child will get blue eyes and blonde hair if, in fact, BOTH parents have these traits.
What are examples of recessive traits and dominant traits?
Dominant Trait- Say your mother has blue eyes and your father has brown, and you come out with blue eyes. Blue eyes is the dominant trait because you and physically see it. ------ While brown eyes is your Recessive trait becaus it is able to be inherited but is not physically seen, you dont have brown eyes.

Asked in Relationships, Genetics
If you have brown hair and brown eyes and your boyfriend has brown hair and brown eyes what are the chances that your kid would have blonde hair and blue eyes?
This is unlikely since brown eyes are a dominant gene and so is brown hair. Blonde hair and blue eyes are a recessive gene. If one of your parents have blue eyes/brown hair, or one of his, then there is still a chance you will have a child with blonde hair and blue eyes. If both of you have a parent with blonde hair and blue eyed, there is actually a 25% chance of having a child with this combination. If not, the chances are much less. However, it isn't possible to know whether your genotype (the actual traits one carries) contains this trait since it isn't a dominant trait and doesn't necessarily manifest itself in the individual.

What colour hair and eyes will the baby have if mother has red hair and blue eyes and father has dark blonde hair and blue eyes?
The senario in this question is an impossible one. If a person is born with blue eyes the person will always have blonde hair, its as simple as that. A person still may have blonde hair and not blue eyes, but if a person is born with blue eyes, then the person's natural hair color is blonde. To answer the question, the child will be born with blue eyes and brown hair.
Are green or blue eyes more dominant?
Green eyes is a dominant trait. Say both your parents had green eyes but you had blue eyes. They have a Green eye dominant trait (G) and a blue eye trait (g) so do the Punnett square and you have 4 children. One has blue eyes (gg) and the other 3 have green eyes (Gg). Or say your mom had blue eyes and your dad had green eyes 2 children would have blue eyes and 2 would have green eyes. So blue is a recessive trait, green and brown are both dominant traits.
Blue-eyed blonde mates with brown-eyed brunette?
It would depend on the brunette's genotype. If they are heterozygous for that trait, then the offspring could be any combination of blonde hair, brown hair, blue eyes, or brown eyes. If the brunette is homozygous dominant, then it's 100% sure the offspring will have a phenotype the same as the brunette.

What does it mean if and organism is homozygous for a trait?
They dont have anything else for a trait that is either carried or another trait. Say if you had blue eyes and everyone in your family (especially your parents) had blue eyes you would be homozygous. If your dad had green eyes and you and your mom had blue eyes you would be blue eyes but you would be a carrier of green eyes so your offspring could possible have green eyes.
