What trap and spell cards in the Yugioh TCG allow you to discard monster cards from your hand to the graveyard or remove them from play?

I'm assuming here that you are running a Dark World deck, if i am wrong, this advice might not be accurate. Something that i run in my Dark Worlds' is The Cheerful Coffin. It is a normal spell card that lets you discard up to 3 monsters from your hand. Another card would be Card Destruction, giving you an opportunity to use the effects of your Dark Worlds', and draw more cards. Some cards used to remove cards from play are Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure, and Big Burn. You must be able to remove at least one Light Machine monster from either the field or one from the graveyard. So it doesn't matter if you have no Light Machine monsters in your graveyard, you could summon it by removing only ones on your field - and vice versa.

Initially, a monster who can only be special summoned, may only reach the field by following the method on its card - unless an effect specifically states otherwise. As for reviving them from the graveyard, there are two subsets of special summon-only monsters. They are; "Can only be Special Summoned by..." If this kind of monster is properly special summoned by the listed method, you can bring it back with cards like Monster Reborn. The two Envoys belong to this group, as do all Rituals, Fusions and Synchros by default, except for a few who have text that include them in the second group below. "Cannot be Special Summoned except by..." Even if this monster is properly special summoned by the listed method, it can't be brought back by cards like Monster Reborn. Dark Armed Dragon and Judgment Dragon are examples of this kind, as do a few Rituals, Fusions or Synchros, like Dark Paladin, who cannot be special summoned except by Fusion Summon. Lastly, again unless specificaly stated otherwise, the card's special summon requirements are from the hand only. You cannot remove a Light and Dark monster to special summon the Envoys from the graveyard, they can only be special summoned this way while in hand. However on the plus side, if they were properly special summoned, you can bring them back with Monster Reborn, and they do not need another Light and Dark monster to be removed when you do this.
What does it mean by remove from play in Yu-Gi-Oh?
The 'remove from play' zone could be thought of as another graveyard, just with a different name. So if you are instructed to send a card there ('banished', under new terminology), you just place that card off to one side to show that it is gone from play, and not in the graveyard. A card that triggers when it goes to the graveyard, will not trigger in this case because it never went there. Cards in the removed from play zone can only be affected by things that specifically affect them, such as Burial from a Different Dimension.

Use cards like "Vanity's Fiend", "Royal Oppression", "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo", and many more.
How does the Trap 'Skull Lair' work?
What happens is you choose a monster on your opponent controls. Then you choose monsters in your graveyard to remove from play. But you have to remove monsters from play equal to the Level of your opponent's monster. Then your opponent's monster that you chose is destroyed. Eg. If you wanted to destroy Giant Rat, then you would have to remove 4 monsters in your graveyard from play because Giant Rat is Level 4.

If you properly Special Summoned him first, and he is then destroyed, you can special summon him back from the graveyard with cards like Monster Reborn. You do not need to remove another Light and Dark monster to do this, and just as important, you cannot remove a Light and Dark monster to special summon him from the graveyard, he can only be summoned from hand by doing that.

Dark armed dragon?
Its a level seven DARK type monster with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF. Its effect states that it cannot be normal summoned of set. It cannot be special summoned exept by having EXACTLY three dark monsters in your graveyard. You can remove from play one dark monster from your graveyard to destroy one card on the field. Its a really good card if your playing darks. One thing you can do is use Dark Grephor's effect to discard a level five or higher dark from your hand to special summon it and then send one dark from your hand and deck to the graveyard. That adds up too three darks in grave.
