Diabetes type 1 is when your Pancreas stops producing insulin which transports glucose to your muscles and fat. Glucose is found in foods which carbohydrates. So whenever you have: Fruits, Cereals, starches and dairy products you must first check your blood sugar level and then you must inject yourself with the insulin necessary to accommodate the carbohydrates.

I was diagnosed with type 1 and I take a long lasting dose of insulin in the morning called Lantus and a Rapid acting Insulin that lasts for 2 hours for when I eat called Novo Rapid which acts really fast.

If you don't like needles eat meat, fats and certain vegetables.

Diabetes is a lifelong medical condition characterized by high sugar in the bloodstream. The condition may result from a lack or insufficient insulin or insulin resistance production. The major components of diabetes treatment include diet combined with exercise, oral medications, and insulin treatment. Our body needs glucose to make energy, and insulin is a hormone that helps our body to utilize glucose as energy. When body cells unable to take up glucose, it accumulates in the blood; this is referred to as high blood sugar. It cannot be cured but can be controlled using treatment options.
