Well, New Zealand itself and its associated islands are all in the Pacific, as are Auckland, Campbell, Scott islands, and Antipodes Islands also.

But in the north of New Zealand, occupied/settled islands would include the Cook Islands, Tokelau, and Niue, which are within the Realm of New Zealand.

What continent is New Zealand on?

This is actually pretty contested. If you go by the seven “traditional” continents (North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica), New Zealand wouldn’t be on any continent. It is, however, part of Oceania, which is a large geographic region (very similar to a continent) including Australia, New Zealand, and about 10,000 other islands in the Pacific Ocean. The coolest answer to this question, though, is that New Zealand is on its own continent of Zealandia. Some scientists argue that what we think of as the islands of New Zealand are just the peaks of the mountains of Zealandia, and the rest of the landmass is submerged. This theory isn’t widely recognized, but it is pretty neat.

What is the longitudinal extens ion of new zealand?

The Chatham Islands and the Kermadec Islands are possibly the extent in longitude - certainly for populated areas. The Antipodes would extend that but unpopulated. However, the Cook Islands (Rarotonga) is the easternmost in the 'New Zealand realm', and Auckland islands in the west. The latitudinal extent is much greater, extending from the Tokelau in the north, to possibly Scott Island in the south, and including the Auckland and Campbell islands. All essentially unpopulated (other than Tokelau). (there is a permanent DoC presence on the Kermadecs. ) Scott Island may be considered part of the Ross dependency, and as such, those territorial claims are frozen.
