Estonia and Kazakhstan currently have the largest GDP growth rates of any Eastern European countries. However, they both have considerably high external debt rates. Montenegro and Albania have considerably low external debt rates, but moderately low GDP growth rates. Any of these countries could be considered doing economically well in Eastern Europe.
Bulgaria's economy is collapsing. It's one of the poorest countries in Europe ( Such as Serbia, Albania, Montenegro )
I would have to say the countries of Albania and Kosovo are the only countries doing the best in Eastern Europe. They are the only countries in Eastern Europe that have a rising GDP growth rate AND a rising population growth rate. (Some countries have only one of the two, but not the two together. EX: Greece- rising population, declining GDP)
Eastern European countries need to adopt more Western values to join the EU. These countries have already been doing so since the breakup of the Soviet Union.
Eastern Europe is falling apart. The population is decreasing as well as the economy. Basically, these countries are falling apart. This is not to say that all Eastern European countries are falling apart. For example, Belarus, Albania, Kosovo, and Russia seem to be doing fine. In fact, this year or next year might be the first year in which Russia's population will increase.
Eastern European countries under former Soviet occupation have been making progress in their economies by joining the European Union (EU). In addition to the economic benefits of joining the EU, these countries have gained democratic values in doing so thus moving on from the Soviet occupation that brought communism in these countries.
Turkey was called the Sick Man of Europe in the early part of the 20th century. This was because the Ottoman Empire was crumbling and the nation was not doing well economically.
I am doing a project about a country is Africa and that is zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is the country less developed economically than other countries because they have lots of problems.
I guess the only way to find out is to explore the countries in Europe :)
Population density
Generally speaking, the non-communist nations of Western Europe were doing well in comparison to nations where Stalin had established communist governments in much of Eastern Europe. The free market policies of the West were yielding better economic growth then the centrally planned economies of Eastern Europe. The US helped to jump start the economies of Western Europe through the Marshall Plan.
Yes, overtly in some countries, much less in others. Europe is doing best.
Around 49 to 51 per cent. It all depends on the region. Statistically, Asian countries have higher percentage of single men. However, If you look at some Eastern European countries, there is higher ration of single women. Once, I was doing a research and was browsing through female dating sites, and I found out that there are way more single ladies in Eastern Europe, but almost equal ratio of single men and women in the US.
