There is no Such Auto Insurance Policy. You would need a Primary Auto Insurance Policy on your own Vehicle and then an attached Umbrella Policy on top of it in order to get close to this.

If you have liability insurance on one vehicle are you insured if you drive another vehicle?

Auto insurance typically covers the car, not the driver. So, if you have insurance on your vehicle, but you drive another vehicle that doesn't have insurance, you are not protected by your policy if you have an accident in that other vehicle. However, if you have insurance on your vehicle, and you lend it to a driver (from another household) who does not have his or her own insurance, they will be covered by your policy while they are driving your car.

Does auto insurance follow the car of the driver in new jersey?

No, Non Owners often referred to as Named Driver insurance never covers a company vehicle. It is the responsibility of your company to provide insurance for it's employees when driving a company vehicle.

Who gets the no insurance ticket for driving another persons car?

Ultimately, the driver is responsible for everything that happens while the vehicle is moving. The DRIVER is supposed to verify that the vehicle he is driving has insurance. I have been in this position, as the owner of the vehicle. And trust me it is the owner that gets the huge fine.
