may have the wrong type bulb check to make sure bulb has two contact points.
Have you checked your bulbs ? The tail light / brake light bulb has 2 wires inside it In my case I have had to change each bulb because the brake light portion did not work but the tail light portion of the bulb did ( I'm assuming that your front park lights are working )
Check the sensor on the brake pedal arm. Brake lights and tail lights use different elements in the bulb also some cars have separate bulb for each. Check the bulbs.
you pooh on it you pooh on it
The tail light/brake light bulb has two filaments. If one of the filaments is broken, you will get either only tail lights, or brake lights. If a new bulb doesn't work, then you have a broken wire or bad connection in your plug-in.
Could be a bad bulb. The same bulb has two filaments, one for the tail lights and one for the brake lights.
bulb number for taillights are 2057 on a 1991 civic dx.

From inside the trunk.

A faulty bulb?
If the headlights are on and brake lights work but not the tail lights, it is possible there is a short in the electrical wires. Another cause for this could be that the tail light bulbs are burned out. Most vehicles have more than one bulb inside the tail lights to control different lights at the same time.
Sometimes one part of the bulb can blow but the other part is still intact. Replace the bulb and see if that makes it work again. Just make sure you get the 2 pin staggered offset bulb for tail/brake.
Replace the light bulb. Tail lights are usually dual filament, 2 filaments in one bulb.
Maybe it is not connected properly or you bought the wrong type of bulb.
First check the bulbs to see if they are burned out, then check the fuses to see if they are blown, if those are both ok, check the back of the fuse panel for burned connectors.
Are u talking about replacing the bulb or replacing the light cover?
replace rear tail light bulb
Panel lights on all vehicles are tied into the tail light wiring of the vehicle. That way if your panel lights go out you know that both tail lights are out. Check the bulbs of your cars tail lights and see if they are burned out.
call a HONDA dealer and they will let you know., Else try it for fit.
You may have a burnt out bulb that is causing your tail lights and dash board lights to not come on in your 1992 Bonneville. It can also be a blown fuse that is causing your problem.
This depends on which light bulb you are replacing. Headlights, tail-lights, dashboard, roof, doors, etc. Clarify which bulb.
try changing the fuse to the tail lights as well.
It may be a fuse.
