What makes a negative charge negative?

As I understand , there cannot be any standing alone, independent, souvereign negative or positive charge. If as a result of some work something get negatively charged or if a negative charge appeared somewhere, this means something get positively charged or a positive charge appeared somewhere too. Charge means potential energy and if this energy is then released during discharge a next work is produced, charges are neutralized, but the work has produced some other energy with its further possible (potential) work, and so on in the universe.

Is florescence produced due to electric current?

NO

What causes an electric field?

An electric field E is produced by a punctual electric charge q or by any electrically charged object. The Efield produced by a charge is analogous to the gravitational field g produced by a mass : Fg= mg the same way Fe = qE.

Can an object have negative kinetic energy?

The kinetic energy of an object can never be negative. Why? The equation for kinetic energy is 1/2mv^2. Mass cannot be negative, as it is mass. Though velocity can be negative, it will never result in a negative resultant because it will be squared. An example would be -4 squared. -4 squared will result in a positive 16. Even -4000 squared will still be a positive 16000000. So in conclusion, kinetic energy will never be negative.

When electric current is passed through water which gas is produced on cathode?

When an electric current is passed through water oxygen gas is produced on cathode because oxygen is positive and cathode is negative . So, oxygen is produced.

a positive charge and a negative charge eachother?

When a positive and negative charge collide, their forces act in the same direction, from positive to negative. As a result, contrary charges are attracted to one another: the electric field and forces produced by two electrical charges of opposite polarity. Both charges are attracted to each other.

Every charged particle produces a?

It produced a magnetic field. If it's charged, it can be negative OR positive. It's magnetic because if they're both alike signs (both positive or both negative) they repel like magnets. If one particle is positive and one is negative, they attract like magnets.

How is an charge produced in a thunderstorm?

There is a negative and positive charge between the clouds or the sky and the ground. The positive charge is attracted to the negative. So positive begins to charge up before basically attacking the negative which is the ground.

What is Rh sensitization?

What is produced when an acid is mixed with water?

Hydrogen ions (Positive ions) and a negative ion

How are electric charges produced?

Charges are produced due to a source providing some energy. e.g cell. Firstly source creates potential difference between terminals and due to this electron at negative end of the terminal move towards positive terminal. In contrast, conventional current flows from positive to negative. In AC circuit electron stay at same place and just vibrate and energy is just passed around the circuit.

Why do magnets work?

Magnetic attraction occurs due to the effect of magnetic fields on electrical currents. An electric current would be the flow of electric charge (positive or negative depending on the amount of electrons present). A magnetic field is produced by moving electrical charges to effect other charges (basically).

What type of charge is produced when an electric field separated positive and negative charges?

In a way, you have answered your own question! All objects that have an electric charge at all have a charge which is either positive or negative. In either case, the charge can be large or small. The charge of the object has a particular value corresponding to a positive number for positive charges and a negative number for negative charges. Objects with no charge, or neutral objects, can be thought of as having an electric charge of zero. So it is easiest to think of the charge of an object as a number of charge units, where that number can be positive, negative or zero. So let's ask a slightly different version of your question: I've heard of positive and negative charges separating in an electric field. What is an example of this happening? Here is an example: A neutral atom of gas, like argon, is sitting in an electric field, and one of its electrons gets knocked off by a charged particle which comes flying by very close to it. The flying charged particle continues on, leaving the knocked off electron behind in the electric field. Now, the argon atom has been separated into two pieces: an argon ion with positive charge, +1 unit, and the knocked-off electron with negative charge, -1 unit. These two oppositely charged objects will separate further in the electric field if that field is strong enough. In fact, several of the particle detectors at Jefferson Lab work via this exact physical process.

What are some effects positive and negative effects on automation?

One positive effect of automation is that products, like cars, can be produced faster with automation. One negative effect of automation is that the human worker is no longer necessary.
