Oxycontin is prescribed in dosages of 20, 40, and 80 milligrams. Overdose by recreational users is fairly common due to the fact that the oxycodone is not titered, or mixed, with an analgesic like acetominophen or ibuprofen, and it is very difficult for new users to determine a safe dosage without prior knowledge of the effects of oxycodone.

More experienced users can ingest higher doses with little ill effects because of their body's tolerance to the drug.

-Sedative/hypnotics such as valium, xanax, klonopin are also highly abused. These medications produce a feeling of euphoria and are also used as a relaxant.

-muscle relaxants, such as flexeril, skelaxin, and others.
