There was a lot of entertainment on the Titanic for the ship's wealthy passengers, there was the orchestra, of course. First class had a gynasium, Turkish baths, squash court, swimming pool, etc.
There were also a few libraries, though each class had to stick to its own.
The entertainment value of titanic has been enough to make several traveling exhibitions of artifacts go to many different cities and to spawn a film that was the highest-grossing in it's time (and still the highest-grossing in Brazil) which also yielded a soundtrack which is still the highest-selling instrumental soundtrack of all time.
The designer was partly responsible for the deaths on the titanic because of the design he made for the ship. The titanic was built in a very short period of time (so fast one person got built into the ship and died). It was built really for speed and had a very ineffective rudder so it could not maneuver as easily. The steel they used for the titanic was really cast iron, which got very brittle in the cold water, and the rivets entirely broke off during collision. Modern ships have higher grades of steel that are flexible enough to withstand a stronger impact. At the same time, the ship really was made very poorly and poorly designed, as the hull was insufficient to support the weight and broke in two. This has been proven by numerous scientists.
As for the film, James Cameron studied every aspect of the titanic and had accurate scenes, but the characters and stereotypes of people on the ship were made to sell the story to Hollywood. No rich person would be allowed to bribe a crewman to allow him to carry a gun onboard. In addition, many people were appearing to be trapped in the ship, when the real truth is this. Many were unaware of the ships sinking and remained in their bunks, as most people on the ship felt almost nothing on the impact. Once the ship began to sink, it was already too late and the lifeboats were already out.
The real reason the titanic was important for it's time is because it was the end of the 19th century shipping. At the time of the titanic, there were insufficient rules on lifeboats and life preservers, ships radios were off at night and so if a ship was in distress they had little hope. After that, ships were required to have radios, telegraphs and communication devises on 24 7 in the case of an emmergency and MORE than enough lifeboats for everyone onboard.
Some amenities on Olympic and Titanic included two libraries, a gymnasium, a Turkish bath, a heated swimming pool (the first for any sailing vessel), a squash court (the first for any sailing vessel), and five pianos - one grand and four upright. Musicians performed in several different rooms.
FOR music they used bag pipes and things to tap or bang on in 3rd class
But in 2nd class/1st class they had the piano and the violins
It was a awesome movie for me!!

I believe I read that Titanic had a pool for passengers of the "F"deck. It had dining rooms, libraries, party halls and even a gym and was one of the most advanced ships of it's time.
