What type of fish is a beta?
If your beta fish will not eat then you need to buy a different type of food. I bought food for my Beta fish, but she didn't eat them. I had to buy another type of food for her to eat.
It depends on what type of fish your talking about. But I will tell you about the Goldfish and Beta Fish (Fighting Fish) The Goldfish usually eats 1 to 2 times a day. Beta (Fighting Fish) eat once or twice too
A beta (siamese fighting) fish can live in a regular fresh water tropical aquarium tank. The male beta can coexist with other fish in the same tank as long as none of the other fish is a male beta. Two male betas in the same tank will fight.
Depends on the type of fish you plan to put together. For instance, beta fish prefer to be alone.
If the Beta Fish doesn't eat then it means that the Beta Fish is sick. I know this answer because I had a Beta Fish in my class in grade 4.
If you have a beta fish, you CAN put it in a tank with another fish IF that fish does NOT have flowing fins or tails, such as a goldfish OR DO NOT put it with a fish that's not social and that attacks other fish so you CAN put a beta fish with another fish if it's not very pretty so it doesn't look like a beta and if the other fish isn't a… Read More
They fight because they are trained to fight and this type of fish (usually a beta) is a very territorial and aggressive fish so when theres another fish of the same gender the two fish fight
its kinda rare to see a beta eat a whole fish, usually they injure and bite other fishes. but its a high possibility that a beta could eat another fish if its really really hungry, due to its instincs, but usually the fish cant be bigger than the betta itself.
Beta fish are aggressive because of their beautiful colors; many fish in the past have attacked it, being that they were jealous of the beauty of the beta fish, and therefore, the beta fish have adapted to this hostile environment and have become fighter fish.
No. You can abosolutley not eat beta fish they are great fish and it is cruelty to eat poor beta fish so never do it i love beta fish!!!!!!! Ew. ==================================================== Yes. There is nothing about them that would make them inedible.
bigger fish. well, not so big that the beta can get eaten. beta fish are better kept by their self.
a gold fish or a beta fish
Piranha :D Beta fish are known to be compatible with most other types of fish. They seem to only have a problem with their own species.
Quite possibly. My female beta ate my male beta, so it wouldn't be that weird if a zebra fish did. Another Answer: Zebra fish are "fin nippers" and while they can be kept in community tanks, they are best kept in groups of 3 or more. Beta fish shouldn't be kept in a community tank.
I have a female and a male beta fish,If you put them togethere and the male doent chase the female then they like being togethere. If the male beta fish chases the female beta fish it mines that the male beta fish wants to kill the female by chacing her allover that is what happened to my female beta fish,so i had to go to petco and buy another bowl so they male and the female… Read More

A fish that eats seaweed is a beta fish, or a dolphin etc. fish that eat seaweeds and other algae are called herbivores. Examples of these types of fish are the parrotfish and the surgeonfish. http://www.answers.com/topic/parrotfish http://www.answers.com/topic/surgeonfish
i have a fantailed goldfish and a male beta fish in the same tank. and not yet has the beta killed the goldfish.
If there is a male and female beta fish, the male probably ate them, and those 2 unlucky babies were definitely male. (male beta fish will kill other fish.)
Beta fish don't get along with other fishes, they will attack any fish that they see as a threat. If you buy a female and a male beta DO NOT put them together.
Yes! All fish can, except the beta fish. I know this because i have three fish and two red eared slider turtles. I have a beta fish, a goldfish, and a black Moore goldfish. The two other fish, besides the beta, work really well with my red eared slider turtles.
I suppose it is possible. Beta are very territorial fish.
A fish bowl is not a solution its what you keep your goldfish/ beta fish in :P
βI'm not sure how to type the Beta symbol, but I copy this character from Web Browser the paste it. Hope this help.
no a tetra fish has a shiny streak
None, if they are in with another fish, they will attack it
The "beta decay" is named after the type of particles emitted - beta particles. A beta particle is either an electron, or an anti-electron (a.k.a. "positron").
no because the male and femalebetas are the type of fish that live alone. therefor since their opposite sex then there is a chance of them being OK with each other, so if there is another fish with them then they will attack it and eventually killing each other.
YES! They can eat crackers! My Betta fish loves crackers but his favorite foods are tilapia and scrambled eggs. Crackers are not good to feed beta fish. A beta fish can live for a couple of weeks without food.
I have kept fancy gold fish that are around 2x-3x bigger then the beta fish in a 10 gallon tank. There are stories of fish being ripped apart. If you watch the tank after adding a beta you should be able to find out quickly. The less crowed the tank the better. Betas are very territorial of space.
because beta fish are very aggressive fish and usually attack other fish
Sure. It might scare your beta, though. Or it could make the world's first addicted-to-TV beta fish. Probably not. Overall, I don't think putting a beta in front of the TV will hurt it.
i was wondering if it is ok to feed my beta fish goldfish flakes?
Beta fish size up opponents before deciding whether it is an enemy it can beat or not. The male is the aggressive one, when a fish nearby has similar color or is the same gender, the beta will flash out its fan-like fins and open its gills, creating a deadly dance to try and ward off the enemy. If that doesn't work, the Beta will strike, almost never giving up, until he or the enemy… Read More
First thing would be removing the fish that is attacking the Beta's fins. If it is not a fish, the Beta may have a disease such as tail rot-in which case you need to isolate the fish and treat it. But there are supplements that can help with the health of the fish.
Beta Librae is a blue dwarf star of spectral type B8
No. The beta will almost either go into a kill it be killed type of scenario. The only time that mixing betas is ok in my experience is a small female with other small fish like it. Other than that, bad idea.
food and water. I feed mine 6 pellets of food and keep him in 2 gallons of water. Beta fish are actually quite easy to manage. Typically, a beta fish should be fed pellets that are specified for it, it should be given these pellets either once or twice a day. You do not keep your fish in a filtered fish bowl; you can keep it in a regular fish bowl. If you do keep… Read More
Yes, a few can. Beta fish definitely can.
Asia # about any where. lots of people have beta fish as pets.
No it will try to kill the other fish
No- frogs are much bigger than beta fish!
No unless it is a girl beta they are fighting fish they fight to the death
Beta have long tails. Be careful putting them in aquariums that have aggressive fish. Beta can live with guppies but will devour the young of the guppies. Don't put the Betta in with tetras or other aggressive fish.
Male beta fish are very territorial. Two male beta fish cannot live in the same tank or they will fight. Male betas make bubble nests to mark their territory.
Well usually the best beta fish is larger and a lot more colorful and whatever you do do not put two beta fish together they will kill each other.
The reason two beta fish cannot be together is because they are very solitary and aggresive fish. They like to have space to themselves. If you put two male beta fish together, they will fight each other to death. Usually, it is okay to put a male and female beta together, but definitly NOT two males. Hope this helps! No beta dont have sugar
no, because a beta is a fighting fish and it would kill it
