R12 is stock but most people convert to r134...personally I feel the r12 cooled better in my suburban
OEM refrigerant which came installed in 1993 was Freon R12. I suggest you convert it to R134a if it has not already been converted. R12 is far to expensive.
It came with R12 Freon. As R12 is cost prohibitive, have the unit converted to R134a refrigerant or a similar substitute.
What is the engine in the Caprice? In the Suburban? If they are a 305/350 then they can be interchanged. I have a 1985 Caprice Classic with a 305 and the tranny came out of a 1987 Suburban. It depends on the engine.
R-134a is a type of freon. All Mustangs from 1994 and later use this type. Older models came with R-12.
Mazda removed the turbocharged 4 cylinder MX-6 engine (FT2 2.2L) in 1992. No model 1993+ came with a stock turbocharger.
Everything 93 and up should take 134 stock. Make sure. You can look for the connectors in the lines. If they are threaded they may have came from a pre-93. You should be able to have the system vacuumed and refill with 134 regardless.
1994 Ford Explorers came with 1lb 8oz (24oz) of R134A freon.
Yes, if it came out of a 1993, 1994, 1995 or 1998 or 1999. The 1996 and 1997 4l60e trannys are specific for those 2 years only.
It came from the factory with R12. I would suggest you convert it over to R134a. R12 is very expensive if you can find it. If it is low then you also have a leak that must be fixed.
1987 Dodge Lancer's came equipped with R-12 freon in the air conditioning system.
It originally came with Freon (R12). Unless it has been converted then it will still contains R12. I suggest you have it converted to R134a, as Freon is so very expensive and hard to find.
