It depends on what year the unit was built. Most AC units for your Home used R-22. A new freon 410A is used in the newer systems. There has been a slow switch over from about mid 2005 until now but the EPA has banned AC units from being built with R-22 now so any unit you buy today will have the 410A.
My opinion would be Rheem as Lennox is more difficult to get parts for.
Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.
This is not a freon because a freon is a simple molecule and although it contains the right molecules it would be a solid at room temperature, not a gas as a freon should be. Also, as the part poly is in the name this would define it as a polymer instead.
Personally if I had to choose. I would choose Home Scape Improvement. However, I also would suggest LENNOX! I really like Lennox. Lennox is a very reliable company and they are very much willing to get the job done right and as quick as they can.
Freon is the trade name for R12. Your car contains R134 or R134a which is not Freon.
Not with Lennox Lewis there.
First of all if the system is low or empty of freon, you have a leak. Replacing the freon without repairing the leak would be a waste of money not to mention allowing the freon to escape into the atmosphere. It would be best to take it to a garage and have a professional do the job for you.
Freon mixed with refrigerate oil will have a slight smell.................
The sport that is associated with Lennox Lewis would be the great and famous sport of professional boxing. Boxing has housed some of the greatest athletes of all time!
No. There is a very small chance you could get Freon poisoning if you got some of it on you but the recipe for Freon had changed for health reasons so most forms are harmless. Of course you would actually have to get Freon on your skin to be at risk, something that wont happen unless you are messing around inside of it. Cooling your house, or standing in front of it to cool off will not harm you.
If you are not sure where to install the freon, it would be best to have a pro do it, due the dangers involved to you and the system.
