It all depends on which bulb you are talking about. A headlight bulb is installed from the back of the headlight assembly. A turn signal bulb on the front is installed from the back of the lens assembly. A rear brake light/turn signal bulb is installed by taking the lens assembly off the car and pulling the socket out to replace the bulb. If you need a bulb in the instrument cluster you have to take the cluster out of the car. This is done by dropping the steering column to take the cluster out. If you want to replace a bulb in the side markers it is done by taking the bulb out of the lens assembly from the back. Tag light bulbs are installed by taking the 2 Phillips head screws out and removing the lens then pull the old bulb out and insert a new bulb. To replace a dome light bulb in the interior just pop the plastic lens off.

You will have to take the dashboard out to replace the bulbs. To do this: Remove the steering wheel and column covers. Pull the cable out of the speedometer from the transaxle. Remove the swtich hole covers. Take off the switch electrical connectors. Take the screws off of the instrument panel and pull it away from the dash. Remove the cluster fasteners. Pull the cluster out far enough so you can reach the electrical coupling. Squeeze the tab and take the connector loose. Sqeeze the tabs on the speedomet cable and and separate it from the cluster. To replace a bulb rotate the plastic bulb holder counterclockwise and pull it from the back of the instruent cluster. Remove the bulb from the holder and replace.
when you remove the instrument cluster the bulbs can be changed from the back side they are in a gray or black holder that are relaced by making a quarter turn and pulling the bulb out. to get the IC out you have to remove the trim panel and the ic is held in by four bolts.
