Most Mormons attend church for 3 hours on Sunday, study scripture and pray daily, and hold positions of responsibility in their congregations (such as a teacher, organist, etc) Mormons also try to live healthy lifestyles, avoid coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs, dress modestly, follow the 10 commandments, and spend time with family. They are very involved in humanitarian projects and disaster relief.

Young Mormons in High School and College often attend extra religion courses provided by the Church as a part of their academic studies. Mormons attend worship services at church for three hours each Sunday as well.

Mormons also believe in living a clean, conservative lifestyle. They try to be healthy and avoid all alcohol, coffee, tobacco, and illegal drugs. They avoid revealing clothing and extremes in style. They avoid sexual relationships outside of marriage, homosexual relationships, and pornography of all kinds. Mormons support traditional family values and focus on developing strong family relationships. They also place a strong emphasis on lifelong education and developing a hard work ethic. Mormons also believe in caring for their own and not to be a burden on society, for this reason many Mormons have food and supplies stored in case of emergency or disaster.

They go to church and avoid working or seeking entertainment on Sunday.

They believe in self-reliance and where possible have gardens and large emergency food and water supplies.

They believe in strong marriages and families, and that mothers, if possible, should stay at home when raising children.
