Will bread get moldy in the freezer or out in the open first?

Bread is frozen to prevent it from getting moldy as it would if left in the open.

Why does bread in a bag get moldy and not the bread out of a bag?

Bread will get moldy whether bagged or not. If moist bread is contained in a plastic bag, the moisture would promote mold growth. Bread left open in a dry room would lose moisture, creating a dryer surface that would slow mold growth.

How much moldy bread do you have to eat to get a normal dosage of penicillin?

Too much, I would suggest going to the doctors first as penicillin is made by a certain type of mold and you can have many types on your typical moldy bread, some of which are harmful.

Do microbes in bread make you ill?

It would be very unusual to get sick from any microbes found in bread. The yeasts that cause bread to rise are not toxic or harmful in any way. If a loaf of bread were badly spoiled and moldy, it would not be healthy, but it isn't likely anyone would eat badly molded bread.

What happens if you see a loaf of bread?

Why did doctors put moldy bread on a wound?

The mold on bread is a form of penicillin, which is an antibiotic. Many times, they would soak the bread in milk or wine. This allowed them to make a poultice that would seep into the wound. The wine would sterilize the wound, while the milk would help draw out the pus caused by the infection.

What type of microscope would be best to view moldy bread?

Update to last answer by "bugs": We would use a light microscope. Bread does have electrons (all matter has electrons), however the fungal growths that cause mould are an appropriate size to be seen under the light microscope. We only use electron microscopy when the item is too small to be seen under a light microscope. For example, if we wanted to see the mitochondria of a cell, we could not see it under a light microscope as it is too small to practically zoom into, so we use electron microscopy as it gives us a better resolution image. Electron microscopy has nothing to do with the electron content of the sample. It is in the operation of the device. The device scans the sample with an electron beam. The electron content of the sample doesn't matter, although all matter does have electrons (unlike as stated in the above answer). // Lab Demonstrator Initial answer: i think it would be a flourescence microscope because it doesnt have electrons or sumthin like that. i honestly am not sure. but heres MY answer. --bugs.//

Can feeding bread to your bird kill him?

I don't see why feeding bits of bread to your bird would kill it. Just don't use moldy bread and don't feed bread as the sole diet. It is better to feed greens to your bird but not too often. Use greens like carrot tops, kale, etc.
