I highly recommend you get your fluid from a Honda dealer. SLF or VTF.
Use 90w gear oil. you can buy it from Wal-Mart or any auto place!
should just be regular 87 octane.
SAE 10w-30 oil
Your owner's manual will tell you what kind of oil to use and how much.
I would recommend genuine Honda ATF from the dealer, if not i use dexron III as a temporary substitute.
I just filled mine up with valvoline 5/30 senthetic, and used 2 quarts..check on your dipstick to make sure.
Honda fluid only Get it at your local Honda dealership. If you use any other fluid it will make your car shift funky
There should be stickers underneath the hood or on the radiator support that state what type of oil should be used, as well as the quantity required. If the stickers have been removed, you can consult your owners manual or local Honda dealership. Generally, Honda has suggested the use of 5w20 for the Civic. And that 5w30 maybe used provdied you switch back to 5w20 for the next oil change. The Honda manual for a 2007 Honda Civic 2.2CDTi (UK) says to use 0w-30 fully synthetic oil.
