IS a igneous rock composed of large, conspicuous crystal phenocrysts and a groundmass in which the phenocrysts are embedded.
River rock can be composed of any rock type, or any combination of rock types.
an igneous rock.
Sedimentary rock. Eg Rock salt.
A Metamorphic rock.
Athenosphere is Not a rock... -_-
yes its pholrite-petrofide rock .Not just phonite porphry-clunker stone. the Indians kill scientist if they told place was special. they knew no gold was in so its still there!
The rock cycle is how one type of rock can be changed into another type of rock.
this mt. has a rock type of rock
A large tonnage low grade mineral deposit that is porphyritic must mean that the desired ore is not substantial enough in the host rock to be economically feasible to extract. - Porphry copper deposits are said to be high tonnage low grade deposits as they tend to contain large amounts of rock with low (but still higher than normal) amounts of copper. Many of these deposits ARE economical to mine depending on other factors such as ease of processing, the association of other minerals such as gold, and geographic location with regards to infrastructure such as power generation and shipping (there are also many other factors that make mining operations viable). Cooper porphry deposits a very important sources of copper and, in some instances, are preferred by larger mining companies as they represent long term investments with predictable grade and limited processing challenges.
Igneous rock is magma (or lava) that has cooled, hardened, and solidified. It is recognized by it's generally smooth texture, high mass (basically a rock a certain size will weigh more than you'd expect just by looking at it), and wavy form-remember, it is solidified magma.
The Rock Cycle.
Rock
granite is a type of igneous rock.
The type of rock that can be foliated and/or non-foliated is the Igneous rock.
The type of rock that can be foliated and/or non-foliated is the Igneous rock.
All rock types can be formed from any other rock type.
Magma IS made of melted rock and minerals. Not what type of rock. All types of rock.
