The Penobscot, who were mis-named by Europeans after the name of one of their villages (Panawahpskek), lived in cone-shaped wigwams covered in bark, very much like those of their relatives the Abenaki and Mi'kmaq. See link below for an image of Penobscot wigwams:

∙ 10y agoThe Seneca pople originally lived in New York, but were forced to migrate to Oklahoma or Canada. These hunter/gatherers lived in villages of longhouses -- large woodframed buildings covered with sheets of elm bark. Up to 60 people could live in one home. Some of the villages were surrounded by palisades for protection from agressive neighboring tribes.
