Acids.
Acid
1 x 10
The specific heat of the substance.
pH = -log(hydronium concentration) [Hydronium is H3O.-log(1 x 10-9) = 9
Such a substance will float on water, if that's of any help.
mass = volume x density So multiply the 1 cubic yard of the substance by the density (expressed in tons per cubic yard) of the substance.
The pH is measured from 1 to 14. From 1 to 6.0 the substance is acidic.
The pH is measure from 1 to 14. so, from 1 to 6.9 the substance is acidic. and from 7.01 to 14 the substance is basic. 7 is neutral. The closer the substance is to 7 it is either basic or acidic. As the number is lower the substance is more acidic for example: pH 2.9 is more acidic than pH 4.8
The pH of acids ranges between 1 to 6. The one with pH 1 is the most concentrated. The pH is a measure of the concentration of H+ ions in a solution.
The difference between a pH of 7 and a pH of 8 are as follows:A pH of 7 means the concentration of [H+] is 10-7.A pH of 8 means the concentration of [H+] is 10-8.Therefore, a substance with a pH of 8 has 1/10th the concentration of hydrogen ions that a substance with a pH of 7.
pH of 1 to < 7 indicates an acid pH of >7 to 14 indicates a base pH of 7 indicates water
PH scale is a scale that shows the substance is PH ....... Example: The substance is PH 7, so it is neutral The substance is PH 3, so it is acid The substance is PH 10, so it is alkali
Hydrochloric Acid
"Slightly basic" refers to the pH of the substance being described. A neutral substance has an equal number of H+ and OH- ions, whereas acids have most H+ and bases have more OH-. A slightly basic substance probably has a pH between 8 and 9, since neutral is 7. The lower the pH (1-6) indicates the substance is acidic. A pH of 8 through 14 indicates basic substance.
acid
It`s called acid(such as HCl,,,,PH=1)
Alkali isn't an acid. Alkali and acid are terms used when the pH of a substance is a certain number, for example if a substance has a pH of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then the substance is an acid. If the pH is 11, 12, 13, 14 or 15, then the substance is an alkali.
Strong because a substance with a pH of 7 is considered neutral, so the further away from 7 the pH gets, the more strong of an acid it becomes.
