Remove the dipstick from the automatic transmission dipstick tube and read it. It will tell you what type of ATF to use.

A manual transmission requires 5.6 quarts of transmission oil. An automatic will require 9.7 quarts of Mercon transmission fluid. It is important to use Mercon and not any other type of ATF.
You add transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
You add transmission fluid down the dipstick tube.
For the automatic transmission, Castrol Import Multi-car ATF or similar.
