There are two oils you can use in a Honda manual transmission: The Official Oil: Honda MTL Manual Transmission Lube. What Most Of Us Use: The same oil that's in the engine. Don't put 80W90 hypoid oil in it like you'd put in any other car's transmission. Motor oil is fine.

If its a manual transmission any 5w-30 motor oil will work fine. However I personally use Honda's specific manual transmission fluid, available at any Honda dealership.
