∙ 12y agoIts uses have varied over time, but currently it's primary use is for unimportant memory to be temporarily stored on the computer for the term of the computer's activity. (I.E. System Temp. Memory b, That strange music video about a flying poptart cat your kid somehow likes, etc.)
