The Japanese were eager to win World War II. Unlike other countries in World War II, Japan would rather have died and lose thousands of men then to surrender to a country. They believed that surrendering brought shame to their country. Anyway, Japan attacked the US at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Without any warning, the Japanese shot at the United States' military in Hawaii.
