A few bad decisions that Charles the First Had made:
1./ He used a lot of money on Art
2./ He married a catholic woman
3./ Started war in Scotland
4./ Introduced ship money
at this very moment i cannot really recall any other bad decisions Charles the First had made but surely there is more.
He arrested 5 mps, refused to accept the 19 propositions neglected parliament arrested another 2 mps, forcibly took money from parliament created ship tax when it was not due, forced the prayer book into Scotland and made huge changes to the church

Fair is a flexible word. Both democracies had their good and bad points. But i both, the assemblies of the citizens made decisions carried out by the Senate/Council. Sometimes bad decisions were made, and the citizens brought 'unfairness' on themselves.
