Nero didn't persecute Christians because they wouldn't worship the gods. He used them as scapegoats for problems in the City, starting with the fire of 64 AD (which Nero himself likely had started so that he could build a palace on the site).

Were Muslims afraid of Jews?

No, I don't think most Muslims were afraid of Jews. But Muslims were certainly puzzled and frustrated by the refusal of most Jews to convert to Islam. Muslims sincerely believed they had the true religion, and they could not understand why Jews did not accept the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. This was similar to the reaction of the Christians in their early days-- they too believed they had the true religion and could not understand why most Jews did not accept Jesus as the messiah. These days, sad to say, many Muslims are taught negative stereotypes about Jews (some based on the situation in Israel and Palestine, some based on certain verses from the Qur'an that seem to say Jews are devious or untrustworthy), while in other cases, such as in pluralistic societies like the United States, Jews and Muslims generally get along well and respect each other's religions.

How is rate of a chemical reaction usually expressed?

Rates of reaction can be expressed depending upon their order. For example say you have a reaction between two chemicals and the initial rate for that reaction is known :-when:-The concentration of one of the reactants is doubled and the other reactants concentration remains the same and the overall rate of reaction does not change - reaction is zero orderwith respect to chemical which was doubled. The concentration of one of the reactants is doubled and other reactants concentration remains the same and the overall rate of reaction doubles - reaction is first order with respect to chemical which was doubled. The concentration of one of the reactants is doubled and other reactants concentration remains the same and the overall rate of reaction quadruples - reaction is second order with respect to chemical which was doubled.Zero Orderrate = kFirst Orderrate = k [A] (reaction is 1st order with respect to [A] and 1st order overall)Second Orderrate = k [A][B] (reaction is first order with respect to [A] and first order with respect to[B], reaction is second order overall)rate = k [A]2 (reaction is second order with respect to [A] and second order overall)Orders are simply added together in order to determine the overall order of reaction :-rate = k [A][B][C] would be third order overall and first order with respect to each of the reactantsThere are other orders of reaction, for example 2 and 3 quarter orders and third order reactions, but these are a little more complex.

Is it a disrespect for christians to wear kippahs?

The answer to this question depends on why a Christian wants to wear a kippah. In the Jewish tradition, Kippahs are worn as a show of respect for God. Christians have different ways of showing respect for God as well. So no, it's not disrespectful for Christians to wear kippahs if they are in a Jewish ceremony or environment. But it may be best to ask the person in charge if it's ok.
