He made lots of paintings in art school, his first known oil painting was called 'Picador', made when Pablo was 8. The first one which became famous is the one depicting his sister's confirmation. It was painted in 1895 or 1896 when Pablo was 14 or 15 years old, and its dimensions are 166 cm x 118. It is now in the Picasso Museum, Barcelona, Spain.

Picasso started painting under the guidance of his father. He then went to art school. What he painted in those years is mostly vanished and forgotten. In the Picasso Museum in Barcelona there is an oil painting, a self-portrait, he painted at the age of 14.
