∙ 9y agoIt was called Congo Free State (1885-1908), Belgian Congo (1908-1960), Congo (1960-1971), Zaire (1971-1997) and, currently, the Democratic Republic of Congo (1997-present). In French, it is called République démocratique du Congo.
