Responsibilities for medieval nuns included:
They wore what would be considered simple clothing for the time: a long black or brown dress, an apron, a wimple to hide their hair under, and a long veil. This is still seen today on some nuns who continue to dress in the old-fashioned classic style of their order.
Medieval nuns did many things. They could do things such as help people who have been kicked in the shins, to excommunicating the king of their town. They couldn't have any ort of relationships because they were all about worshipping god. The nuns were part of the clergy and this ment they were about even eith the lords who were right below the king. Members of the clergy were pretty well off, having lots of food and water (although many people drank beer in the medieval times because when they made it it ws boiled making it a lot safer to drink) and shelter. they were much better off than the peasants.
They played really important role like teaching children. They were one of the smartest people in that time. Nuns were in same level with the monks, and monks read some things to the king, even though, the sometimes lied.
Medieval nuns took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. They did the daily work required within their convent including typical chores like washing and cooking. They also spent much of their time in worship and prayer. Some convents saw nuns illuminating manuscripts, weaving and embroidering cloth, or even producing ale or honey.
