What was life like In the country of Hungary in 1893?
Back in the day there were three classes, Bishops, Kings and pilgrims (poor people).
If you were the king you had control of the entire country and all you relatives will live in prosperity and dine expensive banquets.
If you were a Bishop/or above average person you will have heaps of money, land and pilgrims to work in the land and drop children to school.
If you were poor you would work for all of the above and even eat from the dogs corner (like a scrap pile where they just dump food on the ground for animals and pilgrims.
it looks like $h1t

St. Elizabeth of Hungary is Christ-like because she devoted her life to caring for the poor, the sick, and the elderly. She could have chosen a life of riches, but instead she led a life of poverty. She helped everyone in need, gave food to the poor, and even started several hospitals for the sick and elderly. She is Christ-like because she cared more about others than about herself.
well,ya. It's not that kind of poor like a African developing country, but could be considered very poor in Europe
Austria-Hungary I would like to improve the first answer as follows. Since Austria was "absorbed" by Germany in 1938, it was no more an independent Country, but a part of Grossdeutschland (The Great Germany) so that it cannot be considered as an allied Country. Thus, the Hungary was the only Country allied with Germany in both wars. To further clarify the matter, we must say that, at the outbreak of WW1, Austria-Hungary was the union… Read More

1. Hungary was in the German sphere of influence. 2. The country had been treated even more harshly than Germany at the end of World War I. Germany allowed Hungary to seize some of the territory it had lost in 1918 in exchange for allying itself with Germany. 3. Like Germany, Hungary was haunted by the spectre of Bolshevism.
Average for an European country in most aspects.
Life In A Developed Country Would Be Very Diffrent To A Non-Developed Country. It Would Be Very Populated And Buildings Would Start To Form Into Cities etc.
Serbia was controlled by Austria-Hungary for many years and they just wanted their independence just like every other country. They wanted to be free and have their own rules and government systems, not those that Austria-Hungary gave them.

Well, it depends on which part of Poland, considering it did not actually exist as a nation directly prior to World War I, with parts of modern day Poland being part of the countries of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Russia. Conditions in those parts could generally be considered similar to conditions in the rest of the country to which they were a part of.

It depends entirely on which country "this country" refers to. Hitler was the ruler of Germany from 1933-1945, but other countries were invaded or co-opted at different periods. There are also examples, like Hungary, that served as Nazi Allies prior to a direct German invasion.

It was mostly good. He had a wife he loved and a nice family. He was a successful lawyer, had a distinguished military record, was a US senator, and, of course was elected President, the highest office in the country. He had a bad year in 1893 when his wife died of TB and he lost his bid for a second term as President, but he recovered, did some good legal work and remarried.

Her family and courtiers opposed this, but she insisted she could only follow Christ's teachings, not theirs. Once when she was taking food to the poor and sick, Prince Louis stopped her and looked under her mantle to see what she was carrying; the food had been miraculously changed to roses… Read More
