well, it kind of depends on what class you were, if you had money then it would have been a wonderful place, if you were poor then not so good.
Britain was still very very powerful at this time, it had the largest navy in the world and was very very rich, it was also the worlds financial centre ( a crown we have just taken back from NY recently) so really it depends on who you are referring to.
The first world war BEGAN in 1914 and ENDED in 1918.
If you were poor, life wasn't very good, but, if you were rich, life would be wonderful. The country in 1912 was in a very bad state, first the titanic sank in april in 1912, then the first world war ended in 1914!
life was rubbish!
England was far much developed than most other countries in 1912. Over 40 percent of the population was literate in England and there were various income generating activities that they engaged in like mining.
Health was very poor and only the rich people would have good health and live a normal life span but for the poor people they would live to about 40-50 if they was lucky! For more information i suggest reading a book.
That's a good question. I'm a professor at Virginia State University. The streets were cobbled, the lamps were candles, and all they had to drive were carriages, horses, and motorcycles. Everyone wore hats and fancy clothes. There were no sewers or running water so when people had to go to the bathroom they would use a pot and their slaves would use it in their gardens.

Dirty and smelly.
In 1912 only 20% of the population of Britain were middle class, they would have played games like lawn tennis and snooker. Reading was also popular in 1912. They probably would have had at least one servant and life would have been a lot better than the working class.

Life for women in 1912 was extremely unfair as they were forced to do stuff by there husbands1 and were often bullied into things2 and they had no power to vote or do anything that would change the governments ideas3.

Like life in the USA in the 1950's, or like life in Japan right now.
The Titanic sailed from Southampton on 10 April 1912. The weather was fine.
Dirty and smelly.
Life for poor women in 1912 was very difficult. They only served the purpose of providing cheap labor to the well-off families.
I lived in Madison, Wisconsin during this year. I was a 7th grader and enjoyed being outdoors on my Mongoose BMX bike. I had come to live in the USA from England, life was most enjoyable.
Life is what you make it, regardless of your age or where you live.
