life in the ghetto was very bad many people died there plus there was no running water so when the used the rest room it would stay there and smell bad. There was no food so many people would try to sneak out of the ghetto but would only fell.
Life in the ghetto for the Jews was just about one of the worst possible living conditions possible. they had to make some real tough choices weather to burn beds for heat or sleep on them. There was lack of food and water. there was little shelter and no medical care. children were separated and had to live on the streets and absolutely NO law enforcement. after that trucks would come in to take the Jews to the death camps, any who refused were shot on the spot. when they were there there were brought to bunkers that they were told were showers, and gassed Then afterward, their bodies were thrown into pits with other dead bodies and burned. Most of this info was discovered after the war was over, or stories of all they went through was told by survivors of the Holocaust.

It was hard, there was not enough food, or shelter, or amenities, or employment.
not at all, the word "ghetto" is derived from the Polish meaning a private area, however, it also described the plight of the Jewish population in Poland during WWll when the Polish Jews were concentrated in one closed off area in Warsaw.
