The best medicines that all people could take were herbal and had been passed down over the centuries from earliest times. In the 7th century monks in Enlish monasteries were already studying the good effects of various flowers, plants, bark, roots and leaves.

Many of these old remedies are still in use today or synthesised versions based on their vital essences are used. (Lime leaves contain a substance used in aspirin)

Tudor medicine was ok for the rich tudors. Because they had the money to pay the fee for the doctor. Unless it was a deadly illness the rich tudors would of been healthy again after treatment.

It was the poor tudors that got it bad, they didnt have the money to pay the doctors fee so if they got an illness they were doomed unless they knew a herbilist who knew a cure to make from herbs or the person knew a wise women!
