Revolution 9 was an experiment using tape loops (literally short piece of audio tape made into a loop by attaching the ends to each other, then played to create a repetitive passage of sound with no beginning or end). Initiated by John Lennon at his home in Weybridge on a 1/4" Brenell Mark 5 Type M Series 3 reel to reel recorder, these tapes were later mixed with other loops, sound effects from the EMI library and vocals contributed by Lennon, George Harrison and Yoko Ono. There have been many interpretations as to the song's meaning, but it was essentially an abstract exercise in the recording arts, with no specific narrative or meaning.

Nothing- The Beatles released a song called 'Revolution' in 1968 which is featured on The White Album, which supports the idea of social revolution but only by peaceful, loving means and not by violence. There is nothing to specifically link the American Revolution to The Beatles' song.
