Bunker Hill showed just how determined both sides were. The colonists on the hill ran out of ammunition and the British literally killed them where they stood. It was a major battle for the time and showed that the colonists were ready to fight to the death. No prisoners were taken and the British used bayonets on the living.
The battle of Bunker Hill was so important because it proved to the British, that the colonists could fight. On the other hand it told the colonist that the war would be hard to put up with.
Life was good then life was life so life is something with life
The British had suffered more than one thousand casualties out of the 2,300 or so who fought.

Because that was where people thought the battle happened because it was more strategic than Breed's hill where the battle really took place. The Bunker Battle was fought on the hill so they call it Bunker Hill!
Because the british lost so many men.
Yes, that is why there was a battle. The British wanted the "hill" and a group of Americans had it. They stood their ground so there was a battle. The importance of the hill was that it overlooked the harbor. Bunker Hill is also known as Breeds Hill.

Yes. The fighting was mostly on Breed's Hill, which is lower than Bunker Hill and closer to Boston, and is in between Bunker Hill and Boston. The Patriots were supposed to take a position on top of Bunker Hill but when they got there they realized Breed's Hill was better, so they pushed on to that neighboring hill.Within a few days after the battle patriot printers printed up a "broadside", a single broadsheet description of the battle and sent that off by express riders to spread word of the battle. They incorrectly identified the scene of the fighting as Bunker Hill in this broadside, and the error took root.
okay, so the battle of bunker hill is significant because the inexperienced colonists held their own against the world's most powerful army.It was also the first real battle of the American Revolution
