The British had three options available for the campaign of 1777. These options would effectively cut off New England from the other colonies, thus allowing the British to stop the spread of the fighting and to continue the war in New England
they very evil back ,in the oldies.

The continental army was refreshed after the long winter in Valley Forge. They later went on to win Yorktown against the British. Everyone had high hopes for what could be worse the winter at Valley Forge 2,500 men died, some with out shoes and half naked. Their strategy was to use every ones high hopes to pull off a win against the British.
