Let's say that that the Americans in general weren't all that sorry for the Japanese when they finally got to use the Atom Bomb on them. It was poetic justice in many of their eyes. I mean, really - that was a great surprise attack they did on Pearl Harbor and we have to give them credit for executing it so well. But they have to give us credit for having us a racially diverse military and even more homicidally creative bomb making team. There is nothing that says "SURPRISE!!" more than dropping a giant Atomic Bomb with the words "With Love..." on the Japanese. "Surprise!! We have even bigger guns!! And we don't even have to resort to honor suicide - I mean, honestly, how effective is that anyway?"
