the Bee Gees first significant hit of their early careers was a number one in Australia in 1966 called "Spicks and Specks" this was at number one shortly before they Landed in England... shortly after arriving in England their next song "New York Mining Disaster 1941" in 1967 hit 14 in the US and 12 in the UK.
