Asked in American Revolution
Why was the Revolutionary War called revolutionary?
The American War for Independence is often called a "revolution" (or, said to be "revolutionary") precisely because it was, by definition, just that. As an overthrow by diplomatic and military means of the established government, the American cause, though deemed to be just and necessary by those supporting it, was undeniably a revolution against the British ruling authority.

Will ISIL defeat the US?
No. As a purely military question, the United States could completely destroy ISIL. However, there is no political will in the US government to launch another full-on war in Iraq. Certainly, the current US practice of simply bombing ISIL targets is insufficient to defeat them. In the meantime, ISIL can cause problems for the United States, like the Boston Marathon forms of terrorism. ISIL has nothing near the power necessary to overthrow the US government.
What can people do if government doesn't do its job?
They can vote elected officials out of office, protest, revolt, or as a last resort overthrow the government. The people are the power behind any governmental force, without the people providing goods and services for the government, the government collapses. Therefore the people have the most power in any government whether they realize it our not. If they become unified to any one cause, no force can truly stop them, as no country, no government can function without them.
Asked in Corruption (Political or Economic)
Are politicians the main cause for corruption?
YES! There is corruption everywhere in our political government. We must rise up and cause a revolution before it is too late! We must overthrow the government and amend our corrupt system! We can and must rise up and stop them. They are driving our great nation into the ground! It is time for The Second American Revolution to take place! I refuse to go down without a fight!
