The central teaching of Jesus is to love God and to love one another, which is the Great Commandment of the Bible: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 22:37-40) Jesus teaches that "there is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:31)

The question is incomplete. No options are given (for which of the following) to answer the question.

ANOTHER ANSWER:

The central teaching of Jesus is "the message that He kept repeating" throughout His ministry for three-and-a-half years; the same message that was the subject of all of His parables; the same message which Enoch preached to the pre-flood generations of man; the same message that Isaiah and all the prophets preached; and the same message about which both King Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel had dreams and visions - the Bible's message of THE COMING KINGDOM OF GOD!

Jesus could never have begun to preach that message until two prerequisites were met. The first was "His temptation by Satan and the successful defeat of him"… and the second was "the imprisonment of John the Baptist" who heralded the Messiah's approach:

"You yourselves know how plainly I told you that I am not the Messiah. I am here to prepare the way for Him - THAT IS ALL… I am the Bridegroom's friend, and I am filled with Joy at His success. He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. I am of the earth, and my understanding is limited to the things of earth, but He has come from heaven. He tells what He has seen and heard, but how few believe what He tells them!" (John 3:28-32 NLT New Living Translation)

Jesus could never have preached His message of the Kingdom of God unless the god [and king] of the governments of this world was first DEPOSED by a "Qualified Successor" to that position of global leadership. A NEW KING had to, first, be chosen; and Jesus' Father in heaven CHOSE HIM. A New King had to be prepared to step into that Leadership Role; otherwise, the "gospel" [Good News] of the coming Kingdom of God could never happen.

The Bible's message [teaching]; of the "gospel" [Good News] of the Kingdom of God is a GLOBAL, POLITICAL MESSAGE OF WORLD RULE; not a RELIGIOUS ONE, that the false religions of this world [Satan's world] have watered down to an ethereal nothing! It's the oath, message, and teaching that God [Jesus Christ, the Almighty Creator and WORD of God, of the Old Testament - John 1:1-3], promised to Abraham; that all people of True Faith may inherit [see Gal.3:7, 29]:

"It is clear, then, that God's PROMISE TO GIVE THE WHOLE EARTH TO ABRAHAM and HIS [Faithful] DESCENDANTSwas not based on obedience to God's Law, but on the new relationship with God that comes by Faith." (Rom.4:13 NLT).

Enoch preached and taught the Faithful [gospel] message of the coming Kingdom of God to the wicked pre-flood generations ["…whose thoughts were only evil, continually…" - Gen.6:5; the way Jesus tells us the latter day generations of man will be like when He returns with the Kingdom - Matt.24:37]. It wasn't the many vague, watered down religious stories and fables that the hundreds of Christ-professing denominations preach, today.

"Now Enoch… He said, 'Look, THE LORD IS COMING with thousands of His Holy Ones. He will bring THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD to JUDGMENT. He will convict the ungodly of all the evil things they have done in rebellion and of all the insults that godless sinners have spoken against Him.'" (Jude 1:14-15 NLT)

That's the Bible's teaching about the coming Kingdom of God. The message that the pre-flood generations of man didn't believe. And which modern man doesn't believe either… even if some of them should hear it.

King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream regarding that "gospel" [Good News] message of God's coming Government. A dream that God, Daniel, and the Bible interpret as a foretelling of the, then, future Satan-guided and designed world-ruling empires or government systems of man that shall hold sway over the people of the earth; beginning with the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar, himself… UNTIL… God's Government finally comes in the end and TAKES OVER!

"Daniel replied, 'There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or fortune-tellers who can tell the king such things. But THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN who REVEALS SECRETS, and He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. Now I will tell you your DREAM and the VISIONS [see Num.12:6] you saw as you lay on your bed.'" (Dan.2:27-28 NLT)

"That was the dream; now I will tell Your Majesty WHAT IT MEANS. Your Majesty, you are the king over many kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and honor. He has made you ruler over ALL THE INHABITED WORLD… YOU ARE THE HEAD OF GOLD [in the king's dream of the 'metallic man' the man's head was 'gold.' It was interpreted as representing the Babylonian Empire or government, the first world-ruling empire; the head of which was Kind Nebuchadnezzar. The words 'king' and 'kingdom' are used interchangeably with each other: as the kingdom is… benevolent, peaceful, happy; so is its king. As the kingdom is… oppressive, full of sorrow, misery and suffering; so is its king. And so is the reverse -- as the king is… so is his kingdom]. But after your kingdom comes to an end, ANOTHER GREAT KINGDOM, inferior to yours, will rise to take your place…

[does this sound like a "religious" message, that this orld thinks the Bible is all about? Or is it a 'political' one?]

"…After that kingdom has fallen, yet a third great kingdom, represented by the bronze belly and thighs, will rise to RULE THE WORLD. [is this, too, a religious message?] Following that kingdom, there will be a fourth great kingdom, as strong as iron. That kingdom will SMASH AND CRUSH ALL PREVIOUS EMPIRES [kingdoms, governments]…

'…During the reigns of those kings [the dream comes to its conclusion], THE GOD OF HEAVEN WILL SET UP A KINGDOM that will NEVER BE DESTROYED [the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God has been preached to the king of Babylon]; no one will EVER CONQUER IT. IT WILL SHATTER ALL THESE KINGDOMS [of man] INTO NOTHINGNESS, but it will STAND FOREVER.

"That is THE MEANING OF THE ROCK [Jesus Christ, the KING of that Kingdom] cut from the Mountain by supernatural means [by the Power of God, not men], CRUSHING TO DUST THE STATUE [the idolatrous symbol, and ultimately, the reality of man's errant governments] of iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The GREAT GOD HAS SHOWN YOUR MAJESTY WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. The DREAM IS TRUE, and ITS MEANING IS CERTAIN." (Dan.2:36-45 NLT)

[That's the message that Daniel and his God, the WORD, Jesus Christ, taught King Nebuchadnezzar was the upshot of his dream: the Kingdom of God is coming. But the world doesn't believe it… and the false Satan-designed religions of the world, not believing it, believe instead that the Bible is just a foolish "religious book," and don't teach it. How can they when they don't know, themselves?]

Daniel, later, had his own dream of the "gospel" [Good News] message of the Kingdom of God. Only his dream involves 'BEASTS'… [three animals found in God's creation, and a fourth one unlike any animal of nature.] Daniel's dream and vision was not of a 'metallic man.' Yet, both the visions of Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel interpret the SAME WAY. They are both about "man's governments" versus "God's coming Government," or Kingdom; since God's form of Government revolves around a monarchy… a KING.

It's this "beastly" theme of Daniel's dream that is borne out in the New Testament prophecies:

"…I saw a Beast rising up out of the sea [of humanity - see Rev.17:15]. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns… This Beast looked like a leopard, but it had bear's feet and a lion's mouth! [see Dan.7:4-6]. And the Dragon [Satan, the deceiving spiritual ruler of man's governments and the world - see Rev.12:9 & Luke 4:5-6] GAVE HIM HIS OWN POWER and THRONE and GREAT AUTHORITY." (Rev.13:1-2 NLT)

Once again, the ruler of this "final New Testament resurrection" of "Daniel's fourth BEAST" [or the end time revival of the Roman Empire] is synonymous with his government - both the ruler and his kingdom are called "THE BEAST" in the New Testament prophecies. Just like a "king" and his "kingdom" are the same... so shall the Satan-empowered "Beast-leader" [of whom many today think and refer to as the 'Antichrist']… empowered with Satan's own "power, throne, and authority" - [Rev.13:2]… so shall both he and his system of government be.

There is much more to say on the subject of the "Beast" and the "False Prophet," who hasn't even been mentioned, yet… but back to the question.

It wasn't until Jesus successfully defeated Satan [by quoting Scripture, TRUTHFULLY, and correcting Satan's twisting of it] in the mostly misunderstood "temptation" accounts in [Matt.4 & Luke 4]. And it wasn't until John the Baptist was imprisoned, that Jesus finally "qualified" Himself to be worthy to "sit on the throne" of that long-promised, long-prophesied Kingdom Christ promised to Abraham:

"…ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and you yourselves thrust out." (Luke 13:28 KJV)

After these two prerequisites occurred… at long last, Jesus' earthly ministry began, and He started to preach and teach the Bible's "central theme" - the coming Kingdom of God - because THAT KINGDOM NOW HAD A QUALIFIED KING. And the KING could now set about FULFILLING THOSE PROPHECIES… and start training those whom His Father would give Him, to RULE THAT KINGDOM WITH HIM.

"He was there for forty days, being TEMPTED BY SATAN. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of Him. Later on, AFTER JOHN WAS ARRESTED by Herod Antipas, JESUS WENT TO GALILEE to PREACH GOD'S GOOD NEWS[gospel]. (Mark 1:13-14 NLT)

"'AT LAST THE TIME HAS COME!' He announced. [After millennia of promises and prophecy… the TIME for its fulfillment is finally at hand] 'The KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR! Turn from your sins [repent] and BELIEVE THIS GOOD NEWS [gospel]!'" (verse 15)

There is nothing of which Jesus spoke [including all of His parables] that wasn't and isn't connected and related to the Good News of God's coming Kingdom - the central theme of the Bible.

"…'The Kingdom of Heaven [God] is like a farmer…'" (Matt.13:24 NLT).

"…'The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed…'" (verse 31)

"…'The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast…'" (verse 33)

"…'The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure…'" (verse 44) "…'The Kingdom of Heaven is like a pearl merchant…'" (verse 45)

"…'the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net…'" (verse 47)

"…'the Kingdom of Heaven is like a person who brings out of the storehouse the new teachings as well as the old.'" (verse 52)

This world is blinded by its god to the central theme of the Bible and Jesus Christ… "the coming Kingdom of God"… including the hundreds of diverse denominations of Christ-professing "Christianity."

Mainly, because the Satan-owned governments of this world wouldn't find it "Good News" to know that their power and authority on earth is on borrowed time. Jesus' return to earth with the Kingdom of God is on a "time schedule" that only His Father knows.

But we're told that He'll return "at the last trumpet" which we see prophesied to sound three-and-a-half days after the Two Witnesses shall be killed. Three-and-a-half days before Jesus comes back!

"But after three and a half days, the Spirit of Life from God entered them, and they stood up! …Then a loud voice shouted from heaven, 'Come up here!' …Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet [the last of the seven trumpets of Revelation], and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: 'THE WHOLE WORLD HAS NOW BECOME the KINGDOM OF OUR LORD and of HIS CHRIST, and He will reign FOREVER AND EVER.'

"And the twenty-four elders sitting on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped Him. And they said, 'We give thanks to you, LORD God Almighty, the One who IS and ALWAYS WAS, for NOW you have ASSUMED YOUR GREAT POWER and HAVE BEGUN TO REIGN.

"THE NATIONS WERE ANGRY WITH YOU, but NOW the TIME of your wrath has come. It is TIME to Judge the dead and reward your servants. You will reward your prophets and your Holy People all who FEAR YOUR NAME, from the least to the greatest. And you will destroy all who have CAUSED DESTRUCTION ON THE EARTH.'" (Rev.11:11-18 NLT)

The central theme of the Bible is GOD's GOOD NEWS of the END OF MAN'S ERRANT RULE ON EARTH!

No more pain, suffering, misery, sorrow and death.

The central theme of the Bible is GOD's GOVERNMENT COMING TO REMOVE THIS WORLD's GOD FROM HIS THRONE and HIS OPPRESSIVE RULE.

"…And THE GOVERNMENT WILL REST ON HIS SHOULDERS. These will be His Royal titles; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, PRINCE OF PEACE. His ever-expanding Government will NEVER END. He will rule forever with Fairness and Justice from the throne of His ancestor David. THE PASSIONATE COMMITMENT OF THE LORD Almighty will GUARANTEE this!" (Isa.9:6-7 NLT)

Jesus is not an eternally helpless, harmless little baby in a manger. He's mankind's SOON-RETURNING KING and SAVIOR! And He walked the earth as a mortal man centuries ago preaching and teaching anyone who had and has the eyes to see and the ears to hear… the central theme of the Scriptures: about Himself, THE KING… and about His coming KINGDOM. It's a theme the knowledge of which this Satan-ruled world is still blinded and ignorant; even though the prophet's record has always been abundantly clear:

"And the LORD WILL BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH. On that Day THERE WILL BE ONE LORD - HIS NAME ALONE WILL BE WORSHIPED." (Zech.14:9 NLT)

It is perhaps little wonder that the central theme of the Bible remains unknown to mankind… including the hundreds of diverse and confused denominations that profess His name.

Who in the world can begin to BELIEVE or imagine THE WHOLE WORLD WORSHIPING JESUS CHRIST?

Who in the world can begin to BELIEVE or imagine WORLD PEACE? And who in the world can begin to BELIEVE or imagine MAN'S GOVERNMENTS GONE…and a single, benevolent, world-ruling Kingdom in place that truly cares about its people?

But that's what the theme is. A kingdom requires three things to exist: territory, people, and laws.

1. The Bible reveals that THE EARTH is to be the Kingdom's territory.

2. It reveals that the KING is in the process of "saving" mankind [the future citizens of the coming Kingdom] with His gift of IMMORTALITY, so that they might Live Forever in the Kingdom.

3. And the Laws of the Kingdom, God's Ten Commandments, are as old as time… obedience to which is key to Global Peace:

The Ten Commandments are God's LAWS OF LOVE, which if obeyed would result in GLOBAL PEACE!

Who can imagine a world where "no one steals or lies?"… where "no one is murdered?"… where people "love, honor, and respect one another?"… where no one "covets the possessions of others, but are contented with what they have?"

The central theme of Jesus Christ is NOT A RELIGIOUS THEME! It's A WAY OF LIFE - the Immortal Children of God living forever in the Household of their Father and Firstborn Son; Jesus Christ, their Elder Brother!
