I'm not sure about the Battle of Gallipoli, but I think that Gallipoli was an ongoing campaign lasting from April 25, 1915 until late 1916 (not sure about that), so obviously the weather changed a lot! During the summer, it was extremely hot, but beginning in November there were lots of rain and windstorms.
Hot. And, by the way, the fight was between the Anzacs and the Turks AT Gallipolli.
