I'm not sure about the Battle of Gallipoli, but I think that Gallipoli was an ongoing campaign lasting from April 25, 1915 until late 1916 (not sure about that), so obviously the weather changed a lot! During the summer, it was extremely hot, but beginning in November there were lots of rain and windstorms.
