I think that it is the "Age of Baloneys".
Actually, it's the "Age of Fishes" and that's when fishes evolved and thrived. I can't exactly say the climate of the Devonian Period, but the climate of the Era was very moist and wet. (Amphibians & reptiles evolved in that era too). (The Paleozoic Era, in case you don't know is the Era that the Devonian Period is in)
i have been researching and looking for this myself, but i havent found a very in depth answer. it is warm, because it is close to the equator. It is warmer than it is today. started as a warm, moist climate then gradually changed into dry, arid climate.
i guess no one has any freaking idea what is was like! and i would like more LOVE!! to know what the freaking answer is! but no one knows so you should try a different website for this question. and I'm sorry for not having the answer. and trust me if your doing this for a science school project i know how frustrating it is! sorry I'm dyslexic so things may not be spelled right or sounds funny. well good luck finding the answer!!:) never mind i spell checked it!:) byee-byee have a wonderful day!!

It was relatively warm around all of the land because all of the land was located near the equator

OMG U PERVERT U LOOTED AT MY WORDS
During the Devonian Period the pectoral and pelvic fins of lobe-finned fish evolved into legs as they started to walk on and as tetrapods around 397ma Various terrestrial arthropods also became well-established. The first seed bearning trees spread across dry land, forming huge forests. In the oceans , primitive sharks became more numerous than in the silurian and the late ordovician , and the first ray finned and lobe finned bony fish evolved. The first ammonite mollusks appeared, and trilobite the mollusc-like brachiopods, as well as great coral reefs were still common. The late devonian extinction severely affected marine life.
Like Rhamphorhynchus and Anurognathus, Pterodactylus became extinct at the end of the Jurassic Period, making room for larger pterosaurs like Ornithocheirus.
the carboniferous period had crinoids, echinoderms but today we don't have it
During the Quaternary period, land bridges formed between the continents and the land looked much as it does today. The climate was colder and animals living during the time included the saber-toothed cat and the woolly mammoth.
The Permian period was about 280 to 248 million years ago. The dominant organisms in this time period were the amphibians because they were abundant. However, there were other organisms, such as synapsids, fish and invertebrates.
During the devonian time period most of land was under water.

very moist and wet
The Earth's surface was covered mostly with water. There was a very small part of land that was dry and above water.
k
Warmer climate
grassy and naked
The environment was covered with trees and grass, and the air was warm and moist.
The plants of the Devonian period were very small. The animals that survived were cartilaginous fish like sharks and rays. Some squid and octopus survived as well.
Ammonite shells.A fossil that looks like a spiral or a rams horns is called an ammonite. Ammonites is extinct group of marine invertebrate animals that appeared during the Devonian period.
Primitive sharks like Stelacanthus, predatory fish like Dunkleosteus, and primitive yet huge arthropods and amphibians,
The environment in the tertiary period was mostly covered with trees and grass.
