∙ 12y agoIt is about an american woman who was waiting at a bus stop, when a black man approaches her and ask for a light she doesn't have a match so she give him it from her cigar, upon returning it she flicks it away the man is clearly offended but does not show it. they become engaged in a conversation and she becomes from afraid for her life because she thinks that he intend to rape her he then reassures her that he wont do such thing and that she is not his type her bus quickly arrives she gets on it and the man picks up the discarded cigar.

∙ 10y agoThe story Blackout is about a black man who awaits a white woman in a city at a bus stop. He needed desperately a match to light his cigar in which the lady had just use the last one to light her's, she wanted to tell him but wondered if he would believe her and so this led her to stretch her cigar to him telling him he can have it, instead he just stoop low and lit it telling her thank you.
This much the lady thought was much to intimate and so she flicked the cigar, unthinkingly, in the gully. The man seeing this, didn't show her any manly attitude even thou he was highly offended and this just unnerved her.
She was being prejudice even though she thought she wasn't, but no matter the attitude she portrayed to him he was just humble to it all and her prejudice manner was overcome because she thought black was only about being loud and vile.
