In 1909, an organization called DELAG stated an airline service to carry passengers. DELAG stands for Deutsche Luftschiffart Aktien Geselschaft. The service was limited for travel around the Germany region & was a great hit among rich tourists.

Scheduled passenger services were latter started by Silas Christofferson in California in 1913. In 1914, another scheduled passenger air service St. Petesburg-Tampa airline was started.

What LICENSE do you need to fly a jet?

a commercial pilots license, also known as an airline transport pilots license. Actually, a commercial license and airline transport license are two different things. To fly a jet, practically you should a Private Pilot license, Instrument Rating, Multi Engine license and Commercial license. If the jet is above 12,500 lbs you will also need a type rating for that specific jet which you would be given also by a check examiner.
