TV was first introduced in India in 1959 when the state-run broadcaster Doordarshan began broadcasting. At first, there were only a few hours of programming each day, and the picture quality was not very good.
I think the first American TV station to broadcast 24 hours a day was WNBF Channel 12 in Binghamton, New York. They played movies all night long. During summer vacation I watched them all night long back in the 50s. Look it up.
John Logie Baird (August 13, 1888 - June 14, 1946) Scottish engineer and inventor of the world's first working television system in Hastings, England in 1923. An official blue plaque marks the house where this took place. Hastings Museum hold various pieces of related correspondence. A further demonstration subsequently took place in a department store, Selfridges, in London England, by Mr Baird himself. This took place in 1925. The system was successful enough to become commercialised, and the BBC began the world's first regular television broadcasts, using the Baird system, In 1927, Baird transmitted a long-distance television signal over 438 miles (705 km) of telephone line between London and Glasgow; Baird transmitted the world's first long-distance television pictures to the Central Hotel at Glasgow Central Station. He then set up the Baird Television Development Company Ltd, which in 1928 made the first transatlantic television transmission, from London to Hartsdale, New York. In 1939, Baird showed color television using a cathode ray tube in front of which revolved a disc fitted with colour filters, a method taken up by CBS and RCA in the United States. In 1941 He patented and demonstrated a system of three dimensional television at a definition of 500 lines. On 16 August 1944 he gave the world's first demonstration of a fully electronic colour television display. Later in America I think you mean which NETWORKS were aired on the first TVs. In 1946 when TV began national broadcasts there were only the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) and DuMont. The latter disappeared after the 1954-55 season. ABC and CBS joined in 1948. These networks have "affiliates" in about 215 cities all over the US. In New York, for example, NBC was on channel 4 and DuMont was on channel 5. In Pittburgh it's channels 11 and 2. So to answer your question literally, it all depends on which city you're talking about.
The first television channel was the BBC television service started in 1929 from its London studio. It was a part time channel and largely experimental but it continued regular broadcasts using the JL Baird Televisor system until 1936. That year marked the change to a fully electronic system which continued until 1939 when WW2 caused the transmissions to be halted.
The first basic cable network, launched via satellite in 1976, was Ted Turner's superstation WTCG (channel 17) in Atlanta (standing for "Turner Communications Group"). Turner subsequently changed the callsign for channel 17 to WTBS (standing for "Turner Broadcasting Corporation")

Nat King Cole of course. He was the first black man to host a television show.
These are two separate questions, since radio was around much earlier than television was. Back in the mid-to-late 1920s, a number of black performers (some from blues, others from jazz and big band dance music) could be heard on local stations in major cities like Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. But one of the earliest to be heard on a network was the Cotton Club Orchestra, which was broadcast by the NBC Radio Network in 1930, and another was jazz bandleader Noble Sissle, who had his own program on the CBS network in 1931. As for television, most sources say that jazz and pop vocalist Nat "King" Cole was the first to host his own program, a variety show on NBC than debuted in November 1956. Critics spoke well of it, but sponsors were reticent to support a black host, and the program only lasted for a year.

Television broadcasts began in the 1930s. The earliest programming was on local stations in major cities. I don't know if it's the definitive first network TV program, but on July 7, 1936, NBC broadcast a 30-minute variety show (apparently unnamed). The BBC was the first to air regular television service. It debuted a series called Picture Page, a magazine program, on October 8, 1936. The first American TV season was in 1946–47. The reason it took that long to begin was because World War II caused a delay.
