What was the laotian incident?

The Laotian Incident comes from the Laotian Civil War. Although John F. Kennedy's military advisers thought about sending American Troops to help, Kennedy decideded against it because he felt he didn't have enough forces to aid Asia as well as keep his promises to Europe. So in he fourteen-power Geneva conference, he helped establish an unstable poeae on Laos in 1962. That sums up what my text book said. Hope that helps!
