A killing centre in the Holocaust was an extermination camp. These camps had only one function and that was to kill new arrivals as quickly as possible. They were not forced labour camps or, in any conventional sense, concentration camps.

The extermination camps operated as 'death factories', and occupied a small area. When they worked at peak efficiency, the trains bringing the victims to the camps were timed in such a way that they arrived as soon as the corpses of the previous trainload of victims had been burned (cremated) or buried.

So, there wasn't need for very much inside an extermination camp: gas chambers, mass graves and a few buildings for the killers and others.
