The closest show that may come is America's Funniest Home Videos or AFV. It has been on the air since 1989 and returned for the 2016-2017 season.
- Naturally though it's not even close to being the longest running show of any kind, children's or not, in the world.
Blue Peter holds the title of the longest running children's program having started in 1958.

The Walt Disney anthology series could be debated as being the longest running children's program however it has not been continuous & not even under the same name, plus it is more 'family programming' than 'children's'.
It has been airing under various titles since 1954 although it hasn't always been on ABC, it's aired on CBS, NBC, Disney Jr & Disney Channel. The third era of The Wonderful World of Disney restarted on ABC in 1991 & remains airing today [November 2016], but still not the longest running children's program on ABC.
