I am assuming that by hourly wage you mean minimum wage. In 1938 the hourly wage was $0.25 a hour, although that was implement more towards the end of the year, I think it was set in October. That was when minimum wage was actually set by a government act. The act was applicable generally to employees engaged in interstate commerce or in the production of goods for interstate commerce.
The minimum hourly wage at that time was $0.40 per hour ince the 1938 act. It was later changed in the 60s to more than $1.00 per hour.
In 1963 the minimum wage was 0.25 cents an hour. Until President Kennedy raised it to $1.25 per hour. The $ 0.25 an hour minimum wage was put into effect in 1933 I think.
There was no federal minimum wage in the United States in 1934. That law - The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 - established 25 cents per hour as the minimum in 1938.
